I am so glad to be back from being sick and taking a week off. I just got back from a retreat and I wanted to share what I took away from the retreat. I repeatedly heard be bold, confident, and trust in God. Those words are pretty simple and it’s easy to say, but so hard to do.
The Holy Spirit uses us all in different ways. I was praying over a lady and I heard the Holy Spirit talk to me. I was hesitant to say anything out loud because I didn’t want to be wrong. We tend to doubt that the Holy Spirit is talking to us. I, myself wonder I’m making it up in my mind or if the Holy Spirit really is talking to me.
God can use all people even the non-believers. Have you ever had something come to your mind out of nowhere? Some people say it’s your intuition, others say it’s the Holy Spirit.
One of the hardest things for me to do is to go to strangers and minister to them. I don’t want to force my beliefs on anyone who believes otherwise. That’s when we should pray to the Holy Spirit to guide us and direct our steps. It can be very uncomfortable to be bold, but when we listen and obey what God is telling us, the rewards are endless.
“Behold, I have given you authority to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy, and nothing will injure you.
When the Spirit of truth comes, he will guide you into all the truth, for he will not speak on his own authority, but whatever he hears he will speak, and he will declare to you the things that are to come.
And these signs will accompany those who believe: in my name they will cast out demons; they will speak in new tongues; they will pick up serpents with their hands; and if they drink any deadly poison, it will not hurt them; they will lay their hands on the sick, and they will recover.”
