3 Year Blogiversary Recap

Several weeks ago I celebrated my 3 year blogiversary at Charming Charlie. Charming Charlie is one of my favorite stores. I happened to walk into Charming Charlie one day, and I saw a brochure of how you can host a party at Charming Charlie for free. I know that it can be hard to find the space to have an event or party and it can be costly. The fact that Charming Charlie is giving you the space for free with only a few guidelines, is awesome!

Fashion Show and Shopping Event

One of the many things that I love about blogging is going to see fashion shows. I love everything about it! That’s why when my good friend Valerie from Val Around Town decided to put on a holiday fashion show and shopping event, I was ecstatic! I co-hosted the event with her. Imagine beautiful outfits, beautiful people, drinks, food, and shopping!

All clothes were sponsored from Dillards. I wanted to show you my three looks. There is a formal look, cocktail look, and a casual look.

TMNT Movie Screening

Can you think of a movie that you grew up watching that you will always remember? Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles is definitely one of the movies that I will always remember. It was funny, action packed, and very entertaining. So, when they remade it I was ecstatic! I loved the first movie! Great news… the sequel is coming up on June 3rd!

Here is a little about the movie:

“TEENAGE MUTANT NINJA TURTLES: OUT OF THE SHADOWS” is the sequel to the 2014 hit film “TEENAGE MUTANT NINJA TURTLES.” The film is based on the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles characters created by Peter Laird and Kevin Eastman and is directed by David Green (“EARTH TO ECHO”). Michael Bay (the “TRANSFORMERS franchise) returns to produce alongside his Platinum Dunes partners Brad Fuller and Andrew Form (“ TEENAGE MUTANT NINJA TURTLES”), with Galen Walker and Scott Mednick (“TEENAGE MUTANT NINJA TURTLES”) also producing.

Also returning for the sequel is Megan Fox (“TRANSFORMERS”) as April O’Neil, Will Arnett (“Arrested Development”) as Vernon Fenwick and the Turtles: Alan Ritchson as Raphael, Noel Fisher as Michelangelo, Pete Ploszek at Leonardo, and Jeremy Howard as Donatello. Rounding out the cast is Stephen Amell (“Arrow,”) as Casey Jones, Tyler Perry (“GONE GIRL”, the “MADEA” franchise) as Baxter Stockman, Academy Award nominated actress Laura Linney (“The Big C”, “LOVE ACTUALLY”) as Chief Rebecca Vincent, Brian Tee (“JURASSIC WORLD”) as Shredder, WWE World Heavy Weight Champion Stephen “Sheamus” Farrelly as Rocksteady and Gary Anthony Williams (“THE INTERNSHIP”) as Bebop.

If you live in Houston then I have a special offer for you just because you follow Positively Beautiful Life. I am inviting you to see TMNT: Out Of The Shadows on June 1st at 7:30 pm. before everyone else gets to see it. How cool is that? I hope you will come early and meet me. Either way you definitely want to come early to get a seat. Seating is First Come, First Served.

It’s at the Edwards Greenway Grand Palace Stadium 24 & RPX

CHI Event

This is a sponsored post in collaboration with Farouk Systems and Lopez Marketing. All opinions are my own.

Most people use some kind of product in their hair. If you are a woman, then I am sure you also use either a straightener or a curling iron. It can be hard to find a certain brand that you like but when you do, you stick with it because it works. The brand I’ve been using for years is CHI.

Artopia Event

Disclosure: Sponsored post. All opinions are my own.

Happy Monday guys! 4 and 1/2 years ago I was just a small town girl. I had big dreams but I really felt like I couldn’t do what I wanted and experience new and unique things. If you haven’t noticed yet, I love fashion, performing arts such as dancing, theatrical performances, music, poetry, and more. I was living in a small town wanting more adventure, and more culture into my life. I now live in Houston where I can experience a whole new world. The only thing is I haven’t done that yet. That is until this Saturday. I will take off my small town hat and attend an Artopia event.
