Our Staycation In Houston + Giveaway

We love to travel and go out of town, but this past Spring Break we had a staycation here in Houston. We are so glad we did too! We have lived here for a while and it’s crazy how big Houston is. You can live here for years and not experience everything that Houston has to offer. There are so many great places, but we think that we found the best area to stay in Houston. The Clear Lake/League City/Webster area has so much to offer and we had no idea.

Things can get expensive when you stay in a hotel. You have to pay for food, refreshments, and entertainment. I like to find a reasonable hotel that has all of the amenities that I like. Finding a hotel with Starbucks is a huge plus for me. Staying at a place with a pool is a must for our son. Even if it is cold outside he has to swim for a little bit. We found the Courtyard Marriott/Clear Lake NASA. What’s crazy is that we have been to the area many times before and we didn’t even know this hotel existed across the street from NASA.

I love my Starbucks!

This was the first time that we stayed in a hotel that had a splash pad. This was awesome! This is especially great for you parents who have small children. You can enjoy yourself by drinking a glass of wine and still watch your kids without having to get into the pool.

My favorite part was being able to relax and have some time for myself. Mr. PBL took Noah to the pool for a while so I could read for a bit.

The hotel was at such a great location. NASA is across the street. It was our second time visiting Space Center Houston. I can’t believe how many new things we saw that we didn’t get to see the first time. For example, the mission control area.
We also went to Kemah, which was only ten minutes away from our hotel. The rides, games, and food are great! My favorite part is walking on the boardwalk and looking out into the ocean. There are so many shops and restuarants to choose from.

If you haven’t noticed, I love to shop. The Baybrook Mall is amazing! They recently added an outdoor shopping area with a big courtyard for the kids to run around in. They have movies, music, and many events there. You can see all of this in the video below. They have many great restaurants too. We went to Dave & Busters to eat and play games. I wouldn’t think that their food would be that good, but it is. Their drinks are awesome too! Our son had a snow cone drink, how cool is that?

We had two days to do whatever we wanted and this is all that we were able to do. I really would like to go back because that area has so much to offer. We didn’t get to do this great putt putt place called Putt Putt Fun House. I looked it up and it’s perfect for the kids. They have bumper cars, laser tag, rock climbing, bowling, and much more. I can’t wait to go back and take our son there. I know I looked up and found many other places right in the area that would be too much to list.

I would definitely recommend visiting this area. You are not too far from downtown Houston, and you can always make it to Galveston to go to the beach for the day without having to spend Galveston prices. We will definitely be going back.
