I love anything apple, from apple scents to apple pie! Although I have a confession; I’ve never baked a pie. I am all about making new food recipes but when it comes to desserts, I’m just not accustomed to baking. It is awesome when I can take shortcuts, or get away with not baking at all!
I love the fall and the many things there are to do. Texas actually has some beautiful places to explore and visit. I have made a list of my favorite top 10 places to go during the fall season.
I’m so excited it’s actually starting to feel like fall. I haven’t bought anything new in a while so I’m just doing the shopping from my closet. Plus, I save money this way. I like to mix things up and figure out how I can come up with a new outfit from my closet.

Sweaters and boots, the smell of cinnamon, delicious coffee, pumpkins, apple pie, cute fall decor, and family traditions are what make me think of the fall season. Isn’t it crazy that fall is here? Before too long the weather should be cooling off. It will be time to take out those sweaters and enjoy a delicious cup of coffee while being outside in the cool weather.
Yay, it’s finally sweater weather in Texas! One of my favorite things about cooler temperatures is dressing for it. I also love having fires in the fireplace, drinking hot chocolate, and watching Christmas movies. I just hope it doesn’t warm back up, but I wouldn’t be surprised. That’s Texas weather for you.
When the weather starts to cool down I love to drink coffee, or hot chocolate and to layer my clothes during the fall. Right now it’s still warm so I am hoping in the next few weeks I will be able to start dressing for cooler temperatures. I was in my hometown this week in West Texas. In West Texas the temperatures are cooler so I was able to do a fashion shoot there with this layered look without burning up in my clothes.
The month of October not only snuck up on me, but it has been flying by. Mr. PBL and I finally took time to make a DIY project for Halloween and Fall time. I love wood and how timeless it is. I wanted something that would look great on my front porch. I am not the type of person to be decorating with scary witches, skeletons, ghosts, and gory bloody limbs. I do love cute Halloween decor with a rustic touch to it.
Yay, it’s Friday! Fall is here even though it’s still 90 degree weather here in Texas. This year velvet and florals are some of the trends for Fall. I honestly never thought I would wear floral anything. It’s not really me, but the crazy thing is that I really fell in love with this outfit. I am wearing a floral skirt, a floral top, a velvet jacket, and a velvet floppy hat.
